JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a hotel concierge to start at a Hip & Trendy Hotel in the downtown Savannah. Must have a passion for elevated customer service; and must be ambitious, trendy, friendly, courteous, outgoing, warm, compassionate and comfortable with people of all age groups. The ideal candidate must be a trustworthy individual who is up to date on current trendy "Must do and see" in downtown and also very knowledgeable about the City of Savannah.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets guests as host in a cheerful welcoming manner.
- Able to stand at long periods, and work off a tablet
- Answers questions and assist guests with reasonable requests/accommodations.
- Promotes Old Savannah Tours trolley to each guest and is key at selling
- Read Daily memos for special events/visitors.
- Maintain cleanliness of lobby/visiting area.
- Checks-in with front desk agents daily and walks the property
- Remains flexible to ever changing environment, adapts well to different situations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned as needed by hotel management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as concierge/hotel experience; experience in customer service is a plus
- Proficiency in English; multilingual is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Polite and confident with a great deal of patience
- Able to Sell trolley tickets and knowledgeable
- Ability to learn new computer software; tablets
- High school diploma; degree in hospitality or relevant field a plus
THIS POSITION IS PART-TIME TO START (FRIDAY & SATURDAY DAY SHIFT) AND WILL TRANSITION TO FULL TIME DAYS M-F.
