    Job description

    Pharmacy Technician (M-F, Rotating Weekends)

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with rotating weekends.

    Employment Status: Full Time

    Store Hours: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM (shifts are generally 6-8 hours/day)

    Role Purpose:

    Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and the Pharmacy Manager, and according to standard operating procedures, you will assists in dispensing and preparation of medications, begin an introduction to non-sterile and/or sterile compounding and maintains appropriate pharmacy records.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist in the preparation of prescriptions which includes, dispensing, non-sterile compounding, and workflow management.

    Use of automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory management, patient records, and regulatory compliance. Preferred experience with pharmacy technology such as EyeCons (med counting), RxSafe (med packaging), and Parata (automated dispensing) or similar technology (not required).

    Proficiency working in PioneerRx software will be required after a training period. Training, feedback, and evaluation will be provided.

    Maintain documentation and records required for regulatory compliance including: sterile compounding, non-sterile compounding, record keeping, and fridge & freezer logs, etc..

    Maintain quality assurance standards within the pharmacy as it relates to the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions.

    Maintain regulatory cleanliness compliance for all areas of the pharmacy.

    Maintenance of inventory which includes inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness. May be required to complete periodic inventory as required for business purposes.

    Maintains professionalism in the workplace at all times towards customers and staff.

    Complete all State and Federal regulatory trainings applicable to the operation of the Pharmacy.

    Maintain compliance with all regulations and laws applicable to Pharmacy Operations at all times.

    Minimum Requirements:

    High School Diploma or GED

    Required Experience:

    No Pharmacy Experience Required

    Preferred Experience:

    1 Year Pharmacy Technician Experience

    Experience with Pioneer Rx Software

    Some Retail Experience (may be beneficial)

    Licenses & Certifications:

    State Board of Pharmacy Registration/License (required)

    Must pass a criminal background check (No Felony Convictions)
