    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our Oligonucleotide Chemical Development team. This position provides an exciting opportunity to develop robust processes for the synthesis of oligonucleotides. We are looking for someone who is passionate about exploring novel scientific ideas and plays a key role in developing new cutting-edge technologies with a vision to push clients' state-of-the-art science in oligonucleotide synthesis that can ultimately impact patient lives.

    Duties IncludeL

    • Develop, optimize, and scale up oligonucleotide synthesis processes to support drug development and production.
    • Investigate new approaches to improve synthesis consistency, productivity, and overall efficiency.
    • Create synthesis processes for non-platform (non-standard) oligonucleotides.
    • Design and carry out laboratory experiments; document procedures and collect data accurately.
    • Analyze experimental data and prepare clear, concise development reports.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute experiments that enhance or characterize synthesis processes.
    • Focus on increasing process robustness, productivity, and impurity control.
    • Communicate research findings through written reports and presentations in team meetings.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with 4+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience, is required.
    • Must have experience using LC/MS.
    • Strong background in synthetic organic chemistry , with excellent lab skills and a solid understanding of how reactions work.
    • Able to work both independently and as part of a team , and communicate clearly in writing and speaking.
    • Should be self-motivated , able to think independently, and thorough in planning and running experiments, analyzing results, and making recommendations.
    • Experience with nucleoside chemistry or oligonucleotide synthesis is a plus, but not required.

    Additional Information

    What to Expect in the Hiring Process:

    • 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader

    Additional Details:

    The position is full-time and permanent, Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living near or in Cambridge, MA , are encouraged to apply.
