    We are excited to announce an amazing opportunity for the Director of Catering & Events to join the DoubleTree by Hilton Clarksville Riverview opening in August 2024! This role involves selling social groups and events, as well as overseeing in-house groups. You will be responsible for representing the hotel’s services and facilities to prospective clients and customers in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. This role will report on property in Clarksville, TN. Responsibilities: • Target and solicit new catering business through lead generation, face-to-face prospecting, and relationship referrals. • Maximize revenue by upselling packages and creative food & beverage. • Respond to incoming catering opportunities. • Perform site visits. • Work closely with banquet management to ensure all event details are communicated. • Negotiate and close contracts. • Provide direction and supervision to affected departments and team members during the execution of meetings and/or events. • Directly serve on-site groups and catering customers in a proactive manner. • Timely communication with internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person. • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes. • Participate in the monthly Manager on Duty Program. • Other duties as necessary based on business needs. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years in a Hospitality-related role at the supervisory level. • At least 1 year of experience in Food and Beverage/Event management. • Ability to effectively communicate. • Team player attitude. • Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc. OnQ) preferred but not required. • Bachelor’s degree in business development or other relevant degree preferred but acceptable tenure of experience in a related field accepted. • Must be eligible to work in the USA. Compensation: $60,000 at plan yearly + Bonus
