    Job Description

    Olsson takes on anything from backyard flooding problems in a community to the complex challenges presented with watershed management, irrigation districts, and recreational facilities. As a Water Resource Engineer, you will provide various engineering and project management duties related to evaluating, designing, and constructing projects. You may assist with developing the project scope and schedule, project documentation, and reviewing shop drawings. Travel may be needed to job sites for observation in all types of terrain and weather conditions, as well as project sites in various stages of construction. Opportunities to mentor younger or less experienced staff may be available along with client relations.

    YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

    • Serve as project manager for water resource engineering design projects
    • Degree in civil or environmental engineering
    • Licensed Colorado Professional Engineer, or ability to obtain within 6 months
    • 8-15 years of related full-time water resources engineering consulting experience
    • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to lead an engineering design team in completing technical tasks
    • Experience in preparing and evaluating hydraulic and hydrologic models using SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or other relevant modeling programs
    • Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D or other related software experience.
    • Passion for detailed work
    • Desire to lead and mentor junior engineer

    _ _Typical salary range for this position is $89,000 to $118,000, and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
