Job Description

Olsson is a leading engineering consulting firm dedicated to providing innovative solutions for transportation projects. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with 2+ years of OpenRoads experience to join our team as an Assistant Transportation Engineer in Chandler, AZ.

As an Assistant Transportation Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the engineering staff and gaining valuable experience in the field. Under general supervision, you will utilize your creativity and judgment to accomplish goals and contribute to the success of projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide basic project design support through CAD drafting.
• Prepare technical engineering calculations to support project development.
• Conduct research, write technical reports, and prepare cost opinions.
• Utilize modeling software to solve engineering problems.
• Assist with surveying and construction observation as needed.
• Receive initial instruction or advice from a supervisor or project manager.
• Provide supervision and guidance to student staff as required.
• Assist in preparing project schedules.

• Engineer Intern (EI) certificate a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with OpenRoads software.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the transportation engineering field.
• Proficiency in CAD drafting and engineering software.
