    Job Description

    Olsson offers a wide array of clients a comprehensive range of land surveying services including traditional survey mapping, 3D laser scanning, and UAV Mapping. As a Survey Crew Chief, you will work out in the field on survey projects including construction staking, boundary surveys, topography surveys, and ALTA Surveys. You will serve as the survey party chief and be responsible for ensuring field surveys are completed in accordance with project directives. You will have the opportunity to obtain your Part 107 Commercial UAV license and pilot UAV equipment. You will travel to job sites at different stages of completion and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions. Extended overnight travel is a requirement for this position as we have a number of statewide and national clients you will be supporting.

    YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

    • At least 3 years of experience working with a licensed surveyor
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record 
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
    • Associate degree preferred
    • Registered as a Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) preferred
    • Some construction experience is helpful
