Our client is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps individuals facing critical health issues by providing them with an outstanding experience to their favorite concert, sporting event, theatrical performance, or other form of live entertainment.

*This position has the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the US.

    OVERVIEW:

For over 10 years, the Front Row Foundation has changed the lives of hundreds of beneficiaries and their families by creating “front row” experiences for individuals suffering from critical health illnesses.

Operating from its headquarters in Austin, Texas, the Front Row Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps individuals facing critical health issues to “live life in the front row” by providing them with a front row experience to their favorite concert, sporting event, theatrical performance, or other form of live entertainment. This has included past recipients literally sitting front and center and often meeting their favorite athletes or entertainers. Performers like Justin Bieber, Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks, Jimmy Buffett, Carrie Underwood, Bon Jovi, & Alan Jackson. Along with professional athletes like Steve Nash, Johnny Damon, and Derek Jeter.

To date, Front Row Foundation has executed over 100 of these recipient experiences and now seeks an Executive Director (ED) to expand the number of experiences we can offer, identify and secure more funding, expand our brand, and engage more donors and volunteers to become part of our “front row family.”

    THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Front Row Foundation is looking for an ED to serve as the face of our organization, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. The next year will involve one of the most ambitious fundraising campaigns in the charity’s history. Accordingly, we are looking for an ambitious leader who can forge alliances, build partnerships, engage donors, and motivate staff and volunteers so we can serve hundreds more recipients for decades to come.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The ideal ED will have a deep connection to the Front Row Foundation’s mission. We serve individuals and families at a time when they are most in need – when a loved one is in the midst of a critical health illness. The ED will make it a priority to meet the charity’s mission by securing resources and funding that hold him or herself accountable for the financial health of the organization. Working with the Board, the ED will set strategy and vision, set important goals for the organization and work systematically to meet them.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Fundraising

    • Expand fundraising activities to support and grow recipient experiences
    • Play an active role in key “asks” for sponsorships, partnerships, and donations
    • Capitalize on the creative freedom given to the ED to innovate and rapidly expand fundraising in new ways, whether through partnerships, engagement of volunteers, or targeting and developing grant proposals

    Leadership and Programming

    • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure staff and volunteers consistently provide a world-class experience for every eligible recipient and his or her family
    • Identify and implement cost-effective ways to deliver these world-class experiences
    • Actively engage and energize Front Row Foundation volunteers, board members, and partnering organizations
    • Lead, coach, develop, and retain Front Row Foundation’s staff
    • Develop recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals.

    Communication

    • Provide clear and effective communications to engage our community —from web presence (whether through our website or the “Front Row Family” Facebook group) to external relations, with the goal of building trust, increasing collaboration, inspiring action, and building passion for our mission
    • Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the charity
    • Prepare for and attend Board meetings; communicate strategies and desired initiatives with the Board; seek and build Board involvement with strategic direction for operations

    Financial and Operational Performance

    • Ensure accurate and complete financial and accounting records of the organization
    • Ensure that financial goals are achieved and operating expenses are within budget
    • Work with the Board in the preparation of the annual budget
    • Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success that can be effectively communicated to the Board, donors, and other constituents. KPIs may include donor growth, donation growth, total donations from recurring donors, donor retention rate, beneficiary satisfaction, operating surplus/deficit, and other KPIs that the ED and Board may develop

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Candidates with bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field with 5+ years of experience are preferred
    • Must be a self-starter who is action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, but also has a sense of humor, integrity, and impeccable work ethic
    • Strong marketing and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures is critical
    • Understands the mission/vision of the Front Row Foundation and can relate it to others
