    Our client is a global chemical company specializing in services such as pest management, forestry, Golf, and Industrial Vegetation Management.

     

    The Global Product Controller Senior will play a pivotal role in our Finance team, overseeing and managing financial activities related to product accounting and industrial controlling on a global scale. This senior-level position requires a candidate positioned as leader with extensive expertise in both Accounting in Goods and Industrial Controlling.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Product Accounting:

    • Lead and oversee the global product accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to goods including intercompany flows of goods.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain robust product costing models.
    • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets.

    Industrial Controlling:

    • Manage and enhance industrial controlling processes to optimize cost structures and improve operational efficiency.
    • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for industrial operations, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
    • Work closely with operational teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

    Global Financial Oversight:

    • Collaborate with regional and global finance teams to ensure consistency in financial reporting and compliance with global accounting standards for the product area.
    • Provide financial guidance and support to business units across different regions.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of global financial policies and procedures.

    Senior Leadership:

    • Act as a key financial advisor to senior management, offering insights and recommendations on financial strategies and performance.
    • Manage external partners as major supplier for price and contractors supporting our activities linked to Industrial controlling finance and accounting
    • Mentor and develop a team of financial professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
    • Minimum of 20 years of experience in senior financial roles, with a focus on both product accounting and industrial controlling.
    • In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards and regulations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
    • Mastery of financial software and advanced Excel skills, including data analysis functions and pivot tables.
    • Mastery of ERP systems, especially Masterdata and particularly MSD 365 knowledge is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven international environment.
    • Proven leadership experience, including the management and development of finance teams.
