    Our client is a publicly traded distribution company. They are seeking a Regional Finance Director for their South-Central Region; this position will report into the Regional President with a dotted line to the Corporate CFO.

    This role is a Senior Financial Partner and will proactively guide the decision making process direction through the development and implementation of strategic plans, annual budgets and forecasts. Accountable for financial reporting, accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk. Ensures the region’s reported financial results are completed timely and accurately, and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

    Regional Finance Director Job Responsibilities:

    • Directs the region-wide budget and monthly forecast processes ensuring that plans provide timely insights to financial trends, opportunities and risks as catalysts to proactive business management.
    • Provide the analytical framework and strategic insights to identify risks and opportunities associated with the business.
    • Develops and maintains strong relationships at all levels of the organization in order to provide meaningful financial and business analysis, insights and recommendations.
    • Develop tools and systems to establish, analyze, and provide critical financial information to the region President, including actionable recommendations on short- and long-term strategy and annual operating plans.
    • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities; i.e., evaluation of acquisitions, investments, etc.
    • Continuous improvement of the timeliness and accuracy of the region’s cash flow and asset management.
    • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

    Minimum Requirements/Experience:

    • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable
    • 7 - 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles
    • Dynamic personality able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences
    • Motivational leadership, inspiring team to deliver top performance every day
    • Must have thorough knowledge of accounting, financial analysis, strategic planning, forecasting, financial modeling and financial reporting.
    • Must be knowledgeable of the integration of financial planning, reporting and metrics to meet strategic business goals.
    • Ability to lead and think strategically

    • Strong Oral and Written Communications Skills
    • Advanced experience in MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
