POSITION SUMMARY:
The Outreach Specialist for Student Re-engagement and Retention is first and foremost responsible for all recruitment and retention efforts to develop and implement strategies for all Chicago locations. This position is responsible for ensuring that students and families are receiving timely communication. This position provides daily enrollment and retention reports to the Coordinator for each location. In addition, this person is required to recruit and network successfully with representatives from various communities, organizations, and neighborhoods with respect to the diverse populations and cultures.
The position operates with general direction from the Coordinator of Recruitment, Retention and Community Engagement and functions as an integral part of the Ombudsman team in supporting and implementing Ombudsman and Chancelight initiatives. The Outreach Specialist for Student Re-engagement and Retention supports the Coordinator of Recruitment, Retention and Community Engagement in decisions regarding the operation of the department and is an active and productive member of the Chicago team.

Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Associates or better in Business Administration or related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Demonstrated ability to effectively use a variety of database and other computer support systems
Demonstrated understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures.
Ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of settings and with diverse communities.
Demonstrated program development and implementation skills.
Ability to work effectively and independently with all levels of administrative managers and community leaders.
Demonstrated ability to achieve a high degree of accuracy in numerical analyses and presentation
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, problem solving, multi-tasking., conflict resolution, decision-making, and organizational skills. Bilingual skills are a plus.
