Organizational OverviewOmbudsman Services of Contra Costa, Solano, and Alameda (OSCCSA) is a regional non-profit organization that seeks to transform the standard of long-term care in Contra Costa, Solano, and Alameda Counties through advocacy and education. OSCCSA is responsible for protecting the rights of and improving the quality of life for 29,000 residents of long-term care throughout the region. We are called upon to address issues that range from environment, medication, overall treatment to dire issues of neglect and abuse.

We are the front line advocates for seniors and those who are unable to speak for themselves living in long-term care. Ombudsman Services is the only organization mandated by law to make unannounced visits to long-term care facilities to ensure that residents are free from abuse and receiving quality care. We have been aiding the community for more than 50 years and all services are free of charge. We serve Contra Costa, Solano, and Alameda counties with our team of highly trained Ombudsman staff and volunteers.

We believe aging is a natural phase of life, deserving of respect and dignity. Every day we empower, educate, and partner with older and dependent adults to best meet their unique needs – from providing opportunities to join activities they love to ensure they are free from neglect and abuse.

When our elders thrive, we all benefit from their unique contributions and collective wisdom.
