Job Description
NBCUniversal is looking for an On-Air Scheduling Coordinator who is responsible for maintaining the on-air play-out schedules for the on-air operation. The coordinator serves as a direct point of contact between on-air operations, commercial operations, and program operations to ensure that playlists are scheduled properly for air.
Essential Functions
Maintains air ready schedules and program formats for play-out across the suite of NBCUniversal cable and broadcast properties, digital and linear, by way of NBCUniversal’s proprietary scheduling systems
Coordinates the scheduling and reprocessing of quick turnaround primetime programming to ensure we provide a complete 24/7 continuous schedule across all networks and channels
Performs traffic compares and any scheduling or formatting changes needed because of programming changes, traffic adjustments, or operational needs of the NOC
Understands all technical programs required including but not limited to TLL, Webscheduler, OTTO, Wide Orbit, Sintec, and Streetlite
Executes contingency scheduling for sports replays such as JIPs, filler programming, and sliding of schedules to bring networks back on time
Validates webscheduler playlists for reliable resource and hardware assignments prior to play out
Assists with troubleshooting as needed
Willingness and open availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet the 24/7 operational needs
Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
