The Banquet Houseperson prepares and maintains event spaces by setting up, tearing down, and cleaning banquet rooms, meeting spaces, and hallways according to client specifications and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). They are responsible for transporting equipment, arranging tables and chairs, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with service, requiring physical stamina to lift over 75 lbs and a focus on safety and sanitation. Responsibilities: • Setup and Breakdown: Arrange tables, chairs, staging, and equipment based on event orders and reset rooms afterward. • Event Support: Transport heavy equipment, supplies, and linens; stock service stations with water, coffee, and condiments. • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of banquet rooms, hallways, and storage areas, including vacuuming, cleaning mirrors, and removing trash. • Guest Service: Assist guests and servers, respond to requests, and ensure the room is tidy and presentable. Qualifications: • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift/push/pull objects up to 50-75+ lbs. • Experience: Previous hospitality or banquet experience is often required. • Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. • Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to follow strict safety/sanitation procedures.
