Humble Design San Diego seeks a dynamic, empathetic, creative team member to design welcoming, personalized homes for our clients leaving homelessness. This position is critical to the delivery of our mission to provide dignity, security, and joy to our neighbors as they begin the next hopeful chapters of their lives. This is an ON-CALL position.

Expectations and Compensation:

• Schedule: As needed; when assigned to an install you can typically expect 21-24 hours, $20.00 per hour

  • At the Warehouse: Monday and throughout week as needed to prepare all items for client's home (approximately 7 hours/day)
  • At the clients' homes: on designated installation day (approximately 7 hours/day)
  • Days and hourly breakdown subject to change as we refine our schedule

  • Be resourceful and scrappy. Everything is donated; we work with what we have.

  • Lead with integrity. Direct and guide volunteers in a kind and communicative way.
  • Be comfortable moving and lifting furniture, boxes and decor every day in a warehouse environment.
