On-Call Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Position Overview
Amanicare Services Inc. is seeking dependable and compassionate On-Call Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide coverage for call-offs, vacations, and schedule gaps. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, as-needed work while making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Must work 4 shifts in a month.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care and supervision based on individual support plans
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal care and hygiene
Support meal preparation, light housekeeping, and daily routines
Assist with community activities and transportation as required
Administer medications as trained and authorized
Maintain accurate shift notes and required documentation
Ensure health, safety, and dignity of individuals served
Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding availability and shift coverage
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older
High school diploma or GED preferred
Ability to pass required background checks and screenings
Reliable transportation and flexibility to respond to shift requests
Strong communication and time-management skills
Dependable, respectful, and compassionate approach to care
Preferred Qualifications
Previous DSP or caregiving experience (preferred but not required)
Medication administration certification or willingness to obtain
Experience with behavioral support or developmental disabilities
Training & Support
Paid training provided
Ongoing supervision and support
