Already driving for DoorDash or Uber Eats in Athens? Cosmic Delivery contracts independent delivery drivers to move restaurant and business orders across the Athens delivery area. This is per-delivery work on availability you set, and it is built to run alongside the platforms you already drive for.

Pay

$3.49 to $17.49 per completed delivery, based on the delivery distance our system calculates, plus 100% of tips.

This is per-delivery compensation, not hourly. There is no base wage or hourly guarantee.

Pay scales with distance, up to a 15 mile maximum. It is based on the calculated distance, not the route you choose to drive. You see the pay amount before you accept the order. Tips are paid to the driver in full.

Payment schedule

Weekly. Each work week runs Saturday through Friday and is paid the following Friday by direct deposit.

Delivery hours

11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday
11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Friday and Saturday

Two availability options

Open On-Call. You submit the days and hours you are generally free. Dispatch contacts you when orders come up in your area. No advance reservation needed.

Priority On-Call. You reserve blocks of availability ahead of time and receive first offer on orders during those blocks, which generally means more order volume and less waiting.

Acceptance and on-time performance

Both options carry an 80% acceptance expectation on orders offered during the availability you have submitted. Acceptance is measured as a lifetime average across all orders offered to you. On-time delivery performance is tracked as well.

Restaurants and customers depend on the windows you give us being covered, so submit only availability you can realistically work. What you submit is entirely your choice. We only ask that it be accurate.

Working with other platforms

Cosmic does not require exclusivity. You are free to continue driving for other delivery services. Orders are routed by a dispatcher and released when they are close to ready, which reduces waiting at pickup.

What the work involves

Picking up prepared orders from partner restaurants in the Athens area and delivering them to customers nearby. No cold calling, no upselling, no sales.

Clean driving record
21 years of age or older, as required under Georgia law for alcohol delivery
Completion of a short alcohol delivery certification prior to your first delivery. Many orders include alcohol. The certification is provided by Cosmic Delivery at no cost to the driver.

There are no fees, deposits, or purchases required at any point.
