  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The Laborer Ground Maintenance will service and attend to the customer grounds in Emmitsburg, MD.

    Key Job Functions

    • Maintains grounds
    • Replaces missing/damaged landscaping;
    • Perform mowing; trimming; edging; mulching; weeding; snow removal
    • Performs equipment checks and maintenance
    • Assist other departments as needed and performs other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of Grounds keeping/Landscaping
    • Ability to perform stump grinding; climbing; working from heights
    • Must be a US citizen and able to pass a Federal Background investigation.
    • All applicants will be subject to drug testing
    • Valid Driver’s License is required
    • Must be a team player
    • Proficiency in the operation of the following equipment
      • Manual shift vehicles
      • Towing and maneuvering equipment mounted trailers
      • Powered and Non-Powered Landscape Equipment and Hand tools
      • Dump Truck
      • Backhoe
      • Bobcat
      • Farm Tractors
      • Zero Turn Mowers
      • Arial Lifts
      • Fork Lifts
      • Truck and Equipment mounted Snow Plows
      • Snow Blowers
      • Snow Brooms
      • Parking Lot Sweeping Machine
      • Push Mowers
      • Brush Hog
      • Front Loader
