    About The Position: We are looking for a talented Onboarding Specialist to join our Human Resources team and introduce new employees to their new role. The Onboarding Specialist responsibilities include communicating company and position details to new hires before their start date, gathering necessary paperwork and coordinating/scheduling pre-employment drug screens and background checks. It will also include assisting in recruiting efforts as needed. If you have an HR background, basic knowledge of employment law and a flair for interacting with people, we’d like to meet you. You will ultimately organize and facilitate our company’s onboarding procedures for new hires. This position is 100% remote but would prefer if candidate reside in Arizona or California. This position reports to the Recruiting Manager.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:

    Craft and send emails with information about the company and position, including work schedules, pay and first day expectations.

    Welcome new employees via email and phone and make them feel welcome.

    Gather and process paperwork, such as consent forms, offer letters, and state & federal new hire forms.

    Address and answer new hire questions regarding the completion of the new hire paperwork.

    Entering new hires into the company's HRIS.

    Using several softwares to coordinate and schedule background checks, pre-employment drug screens and motor vehicle checks.

    The ability to handle sensitive and confidentiality information.

    Assist with recruiting responsibilities as needed which includes scheduling and conducting phone screen interviews, coordinating and scheduling virtual or in-person interviews for hiring managers.

    Additional Responsibilities May Include:

    Participate in virtual HR Orientation and assist in HR administrative tasks as needed.

    Compiling reports and spreadsheets from various sources.

    Utilizing and updating shared dashboards with onboarding status.

    Providing excellent customer service to internal department managers and employees.

    Our Ideal Candidate Must Be:

    Outgoing and personable

    Have some experience in onboarding or basic knowledge of HR

    Able to follow verbal and written instructions

    Organized and detail-oriented...able to multi-task

    Proficient in verbal and written communication skills

    Have access to a computer and internet.

    Able to work effectively as a remote employee

    Basic Qualifications:

    Experience:

    Minimum 1 year of onboarding/HR experience

    Education:

    Minimum 1 year of higher education

    Computer literate

    Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook

    Position is remote: candidate must have access to the internet and a computer (company iPhone provided)

    One year of onboarding and/or HR experience in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented, and professional office environment

    A Plus...But Not Required:

    Associate degree, Bachelor’s Degree or continuing education in related field is desirable

    Courses in: Communication, Business, Computers and/or Organizational Skills

    Knowledge & Abilities:

    Strong customer service skills and the ability to work tactfully and professionally with both internal and external customers on the phone.

    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with employees throughout the organization

    Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to respond to management about the department's policies and procedures

    Strong written communication skills and the ability to prepare general correspondence, emails, forms, and reports

    Strong work ethic and the ability to demonstrate a high level of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism

    Strong organizational skills and the ability to be flexible to the demands of a fast-paced environment including the ability to handle multiple interruptions, changing priorities, and time-sensitive deadlines

    Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce work that is both accurate and complete

    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative to resolve problems and issues as they arise

    Self-motivated and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive work team

    Strong file management skills and the ability to develop and maintain accurate records and filing systems

    Strong computer skills and the ability to produce email, correspondence, and reports using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

    Compensation Package*:

    $19/Hour

    Part-Time Position (20 hours a week, remote position)

    Monday-Friday: (9:00am - 1:00pm)
