We are looking for someone who is a fast learner, a team player, reliable and flexible, and able to work overtime. This is a temporary position with potential of becoming long-term depending on the business volume.
Criteria/Requirements:
- Reliable transportation - position might require coverage at other sites. Mileage log can be submitted at the end of every week
- Strong attendance - we expect at least 90 days of good attendance
- Detail Oriented & Self-Motivated - Ability to comprehend and follow procedures and take initiative
- Adaptability - Able to shift and adapt as needed
- Will require OT and weekends as needed - Depending on the building
- Bilingual - (English & Spanish)
- Basic knowledge of excel, outlook, and word
- Previous staffing experience or management is preferred but not required
- Training will be held for 2 weeks. Additional training may be provided upon request. - Proposed start date as soon as possible
- This position will be for the 2nd shift 3:30pm-12:30am Mon-Fri. OT/Weekend availability required.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The job of On-Premises Specialist was established to act as a liaison between employees at the site, their agency, and the client, with specific responsibility for providing information to employees regarding policies and regulations; addressing a variety of issues and/or providing general support; overseeing the execution of records of personnel actions, and evaluations; and assisting the Agency in ensuring that employee functions conform to all applicable regulatory requirements. The On-premise is responsible for performing in-depth human resources duties under minimal supervision and the nominal supervision of the subordinate employee. The On-premise works closely with the Client to provide a high level of customer service and ensure compliance with all company’s policies and procedures.
Job Duties (including but not limited to the following):
- Manages employee pool based on client needs by placing orders, reassigning, or ending assignments.
- Payroll duties - basic math and Excel knowledge
- Reliable transportation is a Must- the position will require coverage for various buildings
- Manages daily on-premises operations such as headcount and check-ins to ensure staff availability during work hours.
- PPE requirements (Face covering, vest, and badge).
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company policies/goals.
- Trains temporary employees and newly hired staff in line with company policies and procedures.
- Communicates and complies with personnel record-keeping procedures (e.g. corrective action documentation, training attendance, and feedback on employee activities for notes into the agency’s software)
- Does "Daily Reconcile" records task, according to building requirements. Communicate any discrepancies to the Agency for correction.
- Investigates employee complaints, prepares reports for the agency, & implements corrective/disciplinary action when necessary.
- Works with the safety team to improve the safety and security of temp workers on assignment.
- Responsible for completing work-related injury reports and promptly reporting work-related injuries to Clients & agencies.
- Gathers payroll reports and submits them for approval to the client promptly.
- Reviews and monitors weekly payroll to implement legal compliance measures (e.g. 5th hour and meal violations)
- Recommends advancement, promotion, or change of status of temporary employees.
- Reviews, recommends approval and submits employee PTO requests.
- Develops ways to retain associates through motivation and encouragement.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by responding to customer inquiries promptly and adequately.
- Assists clients on all service and operational issues.
- Coordinates with client supervisors and management to plan activities for higher productivity on the production site
