    Job Title: **** Purchasing/Inventory Control Associate

    Department: Purchasing

    Location: Sylmar, CA

    Hours: M – F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, 1 hour lunch

    Rate : $25-$28 per hour DOE

    Summary: Our client is a high-end hardware store in Sylmar that is seeking a Purchasing/Inventory Control Associate. They are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Warehouse supervisor. The **Purchasing/Inventory Control Associate **is responsible for performing all inventory control and purchasing functions, including but not limited to the following duties.

    Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to the following

    1. Maintains an updated computerized inventory to include price changes, new and deleted items, descriptions, stock status, adjustments and other related data.
    2. Enters all purchase orders into computer system.
    3. Enters all inventory received into computer and allocates back ordered items to customer orders.
    4. Assists with warehouse duties as needed.
    5. Creates and maintains rework lists and has warehouse send out inventory items to be reworked. Follows up on status of rework items.
    6. Supplies warehouse with all necessary shipping labels and barcodes.
    7. Matches vendor packing slips for inventory items received to purchase orders and invoices.
    8. Prints cycle counts sheets and distributes accordingly.
    9. Maintains an organized and updated filing system for purchases, vendors, inventories, back orders, staged orders and special orders.
    10. Performs follow-ups regarding shortages, damaged items, delays, and discrepancies with vendor, and maintains related documentation.
    11. Acts as liaison between purchasing, customer service, and sales by performing the above duties and responsibilities.

    Education/Experience:

    High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior inventory and purchasing experience required.
