Hanson Family Dental is happy to announce On-The-Job training is now available for the role of Dental Assistant. This valuable opportunity will prepare the candidate to become a Registered Dental Assistant within 6 months.
What does a Dental Assistant do?
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in areas such as prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and more.
Utilize software for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
To be considered the candidate must have the following qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Be over the age of 18.
The candidate will be expected to:
Obtain CPR/BLS certification
Successfully complete a course on the CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Healthcare Setting
Pass the Ethics and Jurisprudence Exam
Successfully complete an approved radiation health & safety training course
