    Shift: 1st Shift | 8:00am - 4:00pm

    Rate: $24 - $28/hour (Based on Experince)

    Position Summary

    Are you good at putting things together, building things and fixing things? Do you enjoy working with your hands and power tools, would you like to use your skills to help people? Our Technicians are an integral part of our company, making up our installation team. From performing simple to moderate installations of residential mobility equipment, to troubleshooting and making repairs, this job gives you experience on a variety of unique equipment. Our successful team prides itself in having good moral, has a history of providing excellent customer service with a friendly and engaging personality. They have a desire to work with their hands in the field, they enjoy interacting with customers and working with hand tools.

    Essential job functions

    Assists in Layout, assembly and installation of: stair lifts, vertical platform lifts, patient lifts, auto lifts, wheelchair ramps, grab bars and home safety accessories.

    Experience in general construction trades and power tool use to build and do light fabrication in the field.

    Loads and transports equipment and tools in company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner

    General warehouse work, receiving orders, stocking and loading products.

    Basic computer work, entering notes and photos into computer or mobile devise.

    May train clients in the safe and proper use of installed equipment

    Required Qualifications

    • Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude
    • Must have experience in use of hand and power tools, general construction, and ability to install equipment
    • Construction experience in a variety of trades or general construction skills
    • Mechanical skills and experience working on mechanical devices
    • Troubleshooting experience with mechanical and electrical
    • A “likeable expert” who delivers a good product and service experience for customers
    • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing; work effectively with a wide range of people including customers, co-workers, and management
    • Must have ability to read and comprehend written instructions, correspondence, and technical drawings
    • Must have the willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, extended workweek, including some overtime
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Must have reliable transportation; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be able to prove insurability

    Preferred skills

    · Prior experience with electrical mechanical equipment

    · Experience using basic hand and power tools

    . Construction, or Mechanical experience

    · Basic construction skills and use of measurement devices

    · Understanding of general electronics and utilize instruments such as multi meter

    · Customer service/ sales experience, especially with older adults

    · Comfortable with all aspects of computer, internet, and mobile applications/usage
