The Solution Specialist is responsible for understanding the Client’s critical business processes, technology structure, and operational concerns. You should feel comfortable gathering required technical data to analyze and identify the best possible solution. The Solution Specialist's primary focus should always be to help customers identify the top technology partner that will allow the client to achieve operational and technology goals. You will work with our sales and PM teams, collaborating on ideas and solutions. You will have educational resources and our Dir. Of Solutions Engineering to help mentor and guide you.
JOB DUTIES: The Solution Specialist is also responsible for evaluating existing internal processes, products, and systems to identify potential gaps that, when filled, may benefit our clients. Other Responsibilities include:
- Present newly developed product offerings to existing and potential clients, answering any technical questions that may arise.
- Assesses training needs and conducts training with internal team and on occasions our clients.
- Make suggestions for product improvements to address quality, cost reduction, cycle time and/or usability.
- Ability to manage internal projects or initiatives based on management needs.
- Strategy Execution - Leads in the execution of OnCall’s overall information systems strategy as it pertains to their vision of the organization in both strategic and tactical plans. Involved in team adoption, execution, and integration of strategy to achieve optimal and efficient delivery.
- Provide a consultative approach to customers.
- Work on new customer projects through design phase of new programs
- Ability to travel to customer for onsite meetings when necessary
- Keep informed of new enhancements to the system which will affect existing or future customers
Requirements:
- BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE OR OTHER TECHNICAL DEGREE.
- Proven work experience and growth in lieu of degree will be considered for this position.
- 1+ years solution consulting experience
- Fluency in English is required
- Ability to travel up to 25% per year
- Proficiency in creating and managing business requirements documents
- Must have the ability to problem-solve and have intellectual curiosity – the desire to understand and break down requirements, processes, and procedures to figure out the best solution for the Client
- Must be comfortable asking leading questions to gather and understand requirements. This requires excellent listening and paraphrasing skills. These skills are a must to ensure you understand what a client is trying to communicate to you
- Ability to understand complex technical details, situations and systems and be able to explain these complexities to people without technical capabilities. In other words, act as an “interpreter” to explain complex issues in a way that makes sense to people without technical skills/background
- Must be able to communicate ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner appropriate to an audience, including executive levels
- Must be comfortable presenting information to an audience, as well as fielding spur-of-the-moment questions regarding the data presented
- Perform ad hoc duties when asked to accomplish client and company growth and excellent experience.
