Job Description: Floor Manager (One Door North)

About Us One Door North is a vibrant bar and eatery inspired by the great outdoors, located next to our sister restaurant, The Smoking Goat. Our glamping-inspired space features indoor tents, chef-driven food, and an elevated cocktail program. We’re known for scratch-made, locally sourced dishes, an upbeat social vibe, and a sense of fun and community.

The Role We’re looking for an energetic, hospitality-driven Floor Manager to join our team. This is a front-of-house leadership role designed for someone who thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment and has a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences. You’ll support nightly service operations at One Door North, while working alongside the General Manager who oversees both One Door North and The Smoking Goat.

    Responsibilities

Lead nightly service with confidence and positivity, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Support and motivate servers, bartenders, and hosts to deliver outstanding hospitality.

Act as a hands-on leader on the floor, resolving guest concerns and keeping energy high.

Uphold restaurant standards for service, cleanliness, and flow of operations.

Assist with opening/closing procedures, side work, and floor planning.

Provide feedback to the General Manager on staff performance, guest experiences, and opportunities for improvement.

Help foster a fun, engaged culture that makes both staff and guests feel like family.

    What We’re Looking For

A vibrant, positive, “can-do” personality with natural leadership skills.

Previous restaurant leadership or supervisory experience (FOH required, bar knowledge a plus).

Strong communication and people skills; ability to coach, support, and inspire a team.

Availability for 2–4 evening shifts per week with consistent engagement and reliability.

Interest in growing into a larger management role within the restaurant group over time.

Bonus skills that are helpful but not required:

    Event management or marketing experience.

Strong organizational skills or administrative abilities.

Computer literacy (POS systems, spreadsheets, scheduling, or reporting).

A love for hospitality and a genuine investment in helping One Door North grow into a neighborhood and citywide favorite.

    Perks/Growth

    Competitive hourly pay + tips/share.

Growth opportunities within a respected restaurant group.

Fun, supportive, and social work environment.

Opportunities to expand beyond nightly service leadership, with potential for more management responsibility in operations, events, marketing, or administration.

If you bring social media, organizational, event management, or computer skills, we’ll find creative ways for you to use them as part of the role.
