    Outbound Pick/Pack Lead Job Description

    The function of the Outbound Pick Lead and Pack Lead is to motivate and guide their team. Leads are the embodiment of OWD Core Values. They work together with Managers and Supervisors to communicate short-term and long-term goals to the Pick and Pack teams. The position is full time with regular weekend and evening shifts required. Leads are expected to email fulfillment specialists on a regular basis, conduct training sessions, lead team meetings, and document employee performance. They assist management in compiling training documents and issuing them to employees. They should be knowledgeable with OWD procedures and be able to make recommendations on how to improve processes.

    Proficiency Requirements

    A lead is required to be a high-level performer in OWD picking and packing metrics. This person must possess exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written. A Lead must be fluent in speaking and writing in English. Spanish speaking and writing is a plus, but not required. Basic computer aptitude is required, i.e. a working knowledge of Word, Excel, email, OWD internal systems, etc.

    Physical Requirements

    While performing the duties of this job, this employee is regularly required to sit and stand for up to eight hours. They must be able to type on a keyboard, as well as possess the ability to speak and hear. The employee must be able to lift and move cartons up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    Oversee day to day processing of all outbound orders.

    Ensuring metrics, KPIs, LER are within profitable margins.

    Make sure SLA is met daily, and advise FS if SLA is not going to be met.

    Verify that all REDS are picked and packed first and are checked periodically throughout the day

    Responsible for verifying all time cards daily. This includes verifying that all job codes and missed punches are adjusted by am daily and at the end of the pay period.

    Assist in training personnel. Ensure pickers and packers are properly trained on handheld devices, time clock procedures, and the Pack App to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy. Confirm employees are up-to-speed on all branding requirements as it pertains to picking and packing.

    Ensure all orders are loaded on the appropriate carrier trucks.

    Oversee pickers and packers - motivate them to keep a fast pace, and see that employees are in the designated areas.

    Check and respond back to emails on a regular basis. All emails must be responded to by EOD.

    Ensure Pack App is updated to reflect the most recent brand and pack requirements.

    Ensure all employees are properly checking in and out OWD handheld devices.

    Ensure all OWD electronic devices are charging and in proper location.

    Make sure all products on cancelled order cart are placed in proper locations by the EOD.

    Make sure Warehouse Manager and Floor Supervisor are updated throughout the day.

    Oversee that all pack stations and aisles are cleaned on a daily basis.

    Ensure all reach vehicles and forklifts are charged nightly.

    Daily closeout of DHL, UPS, UPSMI, FEDEX, and USPS.

    Complete monthly observations for every team member in their department.

    Other duties as assigned/directed by supervisor.
