    Golden Heart Advocacy specializes in providing one-on-one direct care services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Golden Heart team member, our goal is to provide the highest quality of service with compassion, empathy, and empowerment.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a 21-year-old male in the Brick, NJ area. The family is looking for a Golden Heart team member to help re-acclimate him to community activities and establish consistent daily routines.

    Responsibilities & Interests

    Provide one-on-one support during community and recreational activities

    Offer verbal reminders and guidance throughout daily routines

    Encourage physical activities such as:

    Bike riding, basketball, scooter riding

    Hockey, bowling, swimming

    Playground activities (swings)

    Engage in preferred leisure activities, including:

    Cooking

    Watching YouTube

    Favorite movies/shows: Despicable Me 2, Elf, SpongeBob, Paddington Bear, Paw Patrol, Lilo & Stitch

    Provide hands-on assistance with personal hygiene as needed

    Support the individual in safely experiencing community activities.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive individuals in the community

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Availability for day shifts

    Ability to commute to Brick, NJ

    Preferred:

    1+ years of direct support experience

    Compensation

    $25.00 per hour
