    Gift Processor

    Position Summary:

    The Gift Processor is an important member of Pacific Symphony’s Development Department team and is responsible for accurately recording all details of donor transactions into a customer relationship management database (Tessitura). This work is done utilizing business rules defined by the Pacific Symphony.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    Accurately record all details of donor transactions into Tessitura database utilizing business rules defined by the Pacific Symphony including various transactions:

    o Annual fund gifts, memberships, special event ticket orders and auction items

    o Contribution entries for pledges and pledge payments

    o Multiple forms of payment

    o Donor notes and comments

    Process payments including checks, credit cards, checks, online orders, and gifts of stock.

    Generate acknowledgement letters and tax receipts for donors.

    Generate Daily Gift Report and other periodic reports.

    Generate and distribute invoices and pledge reminders.

    Generate historical giving records from CRM database as requested.

    Adjust recording of gifts and pledges as requested by development and/or finance departments.

    In conjunction with appropriate finance department staff, complete quarterly reconciliation of Tessitura contribution records with finance contribution records.

    Track matching gift appeals.

    Maintain data hygiene through constituent record management activities such as removal of duplicate records.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Must be detail oriented, well-organized, and demonstrated ability to prioritize.

    Must be able to multi-task while maintaining a goal and results oriented focus.

    Must be able to meet established deadlines.

    Must have experiencewith high-volumedataentry.

    Must have flexibility to work extra hours as needed during high work volume periods.

    Three+ years’ experience in an office environment, preferably at a nonprofit organization.

    Individual must have a friendly personality, outstanding telephone etiquette, and the ability to interact comfortably with major donors, board members and others as a representative of Pacific Symphony.

    Individual should be able to demonstrate individual initiative, good judgement, and an ability to learn quickly. Maturity and ability to respect the confidentiality of donor and other business information is essential for success in this role.

    Must be able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.

    Must be highly proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    Prior experience with Tessitura is considered a plus.

    Knowledge of basic accounting principles and techniques is considered a plus.

    REPORTS TO: Patron Programs Associate

    STATUS: Full-time, Hourly, Non-exempt

    Must be available to work overtime as requested, including assisting with special events, with management pre-authorization.

    COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience
