    Madison Park Neighborhood Association (MPNA) GREEN (Getting Residents Engaged in Empowering Neighborhoods) ProgramsMission Statement- Our organization empowers residents to improve the quality of life for in the Madison Park neighborhood and the surrounding South-East Santa Ana communities. GREEN promotes youth educational development, health equity, and a safe and green environment. GREEN is a fiscally-sponsored project of OneOC.GREEN has built exemplary programs including a set of elementary, middle school and high school STEM programs; an array of wellness programs; and community actions for environmental justice. This new position will provide direct program management, as well as oversight of staff. There are promotional opportunities.Position Summary: Oversee the operations for programs, staff, and volunteers. Including recruitment, and training of volunteer residents. Provide leadership and support for adult and youth programs including acting as liaison to coordinate class times, recruit instructors, outreach to community for attendance, and development of curriculum. Develop, promote and strengthen programs as well as bridge connections with SAUSD, UC Irvine, City of Santa Ana, community residents, non-profits, and other key stakeholders. In collaboration with the GREEN advisory board and residents, plan and implement programs and connect with community members to identify and address needs.Essential Functions/Responsibilities● Directs programs including the academic, health equity and environmental justice programs, and staff● Support daily program operations, scheduling, attendance, classroom set up, problem solving● Manage and create grant budgets and provide supporting documentation to fiscal sponsor● Effectively interact with coworkers, volunteers, participants and community members● Create marketing content● Recruit, train and coordinate resident volunteers● Facilitates existing and new partnerships with key institutions● Supports fund development activities● Performs administrative functions such as prepare invoices, manage cash deposits● Work with fiscal sponsor to ensure timely payment of instructors, facilitators and staff● Assist in preparing documents for advisory board meetings, send email reminders● Collect data for program participation and grant reports● Implement pre and post surveys for program participants● Performs other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:● Supervises and schedules program facilitators, volunteers and staff● Reviews and approves time sheets for staff● Planning, implementation and coordination of programs and services● Promotes the work and success of the GREEN Programs in the city and region● Serve as the contact for partnerships with organizations, city, school district officials, UC IrvineEducation and/or Experience Required● Bachelor degree or Master’s degree in child development, education, human services, social work, public policy, public health, business administration and at least 5 years related experience.Skills and Abilities● Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task programs and prioritize in fast-paced environment.● Bilingual, Spanish strongly preferred● Cultural competency in Latinx communities● Exceptional community service skills and interpersonal skills with all ages● Strong organization, problem solving and analytical skills.● Ability to manage priorities and workflow● Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong public speaking skills● Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and basic social media.● Ability to work under stress, with interruptions and deadlines.● Ability to master basic math skills, and budget programs.● Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions.● Ability to accept constructive criticismWorking ConditionsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those the employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
