    Summary: Service term: February 2022– July 2022 (reviewing candidates for IMMEDIATE placement)

    AmeriCorps VIP Fellows leave lasting legacies in the communities they serve by building strong, sustainable volunteer programs at nonprofits in Orange County. Grandma's House of Hope is looking for an AmeriCorps VIP Fellow to join them in their mission to provide compassionate and uplifting transitional care throughout Orange County for men, women and children in crisis. AmeriCorps VIP Fellows will work towards building stronger communities among those experiencing challenging times in their lives.

    General Responsibilities Include:

    Work with leadership to build and strengthen existing volunteer program to further support the needs of the community

    Increase volunteer engagement and outreach to gain new volunteers into the volunteer program

    Serve alongside volunteers to provide guidance and improve the volunteer experience

    Reinforce existing partnerships through further collaboration towards shared goals

    In exchange for your service, AmeriCorps member benefits include:

    Monthly living stipend of $1,454

    Education Award of $3,247.50 (Members may use the education award to pay for current educational expenses at an eligible institution, to repay qualified student loans, or to do both).

    What Do You Bring?The most successful in this position have had one year or more of college experience, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good technological skills, possess ingenuity and a can-do spirit, and are energized by serving others.Minimum Requirements:

    18 years of age or older

    High school diploma (some college preferred)

    US citizen, US National, or lawful permanent resident of the US

    Clear background checks (DOJ, FBI, NSOPW)
