As a OneOC AmeriCorps member, you will have the opportunity to build the capacity of Orange County’s most prominent nonprofits. We are currently recruiting for: Child Creativity Lab, Grandma’s House of Hope, The Giving Farm, Stand Up for Kids, South County Outreach, Tustin Elementary Schools, Straight Talk Clinic, and more.

As a retiree, you may remain involved, supplement your retirement income, and help others succeed. What Do You Get? In exchange for up to a year of service, AmeriCorps members earn a modest living allowance and an Education Award (equal to maximum Pell Grant) that helps pay for college or pay back student loans. AmeriCorps members have earned more than $2 billion in these awards since 1994.

· Free Leadership Development Trainings from OneOC Networking opportunities.· Education Award: currently $10,000 (AmeriCorps members that successfully complete a Full- time 1700 hour service term approved through FY 2021 AmeriCorps State funding will be eligible to receive a combined $10,000 AmeriCorps Education Award ($6,195 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award and $3,805 California For All Education Award). Members may use the education award to pay for current educational expenses at an eligible institution, to repay qualified student loans, or to do both).
