OneOC is proud to offer Board Placement Services to match emerging leaders and executives to successfully serve on nonprofit Boards of Directors throughout the region.

Organization: Community Roots Foundation

Location: Laguna Niguel

Organization Background: The Community Roots Foundation runs the Community Seedlings Preschool and Community Care Club that are complementary programs to the Community Roots Academy public charter school. The Reggio Emilia-inspired Community Seedlings Preschool plants the seeds for lifelong learning, while the enriching Community Care Club keeps children engaged before and after school and during the summer. Position: (2 openings available) Board members support the work of the Foundation’s education programming with a vision to offer children a space in which to explore their interests that is rich with opportunities, so that they can examine the world around them in as much depth as they desire, supported by adults who see childhood as a unique time to lay a foundation for a lifetime of learning. The Foundation’s programs are ready for growth and expanded visibility.

Skills Desired:

Partnership development

Financial experience

Real Estate and/or Legal experience preferred

Environmental sustainability experience a plus
