    4. Do you a bachelors in electrical engineering from an accredited university and have at least 5 - 7 years of related experience in a chemical, petrochemical, petroleum production or refining facility?

    Consider taking ownership of a role where you will lead and influence reliability centered manufacturing initiatives to improve process efficiency while working with management, operations, maintenance and engineering.

    As a ELECTRICAL RELIABILITY|MAINTENANCE ENGINEER your Key Roles and Responsibilities include:

    • Responsible for the overall condition and reliability of plant electrical systems to ensure a safe and continuous operation.

    • Manage electrical maintenance and capital projects as needed.
    • Coordinate and plan plant electrical shut downs for both minor and major plant outages
    • Electrical design consistent with NEC, NFPA, and OSHA standards, project engineering to support capital improvement program, leading troubleshooting efforts to correct problems in the system and resolving all electrical equipment reliability issues and malfunctions.

    • Provide consultations on matters relating to safety, reliability, and the selection of equipment for end-of-life replacement.
    • This will involve working with the following equipment types:  Voltage distribution networks which include medium and low voltage distribution systems (34.5 kv, 13.8 kv, 4.16 kv and 480 Volts), Substations, transformers, and switchgear, 4,160 volt starters and protective relays, Emergency generators, motors, UPS systems and batteries.
    • May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments
    • Ability to work nights and turnarounds as needed.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • 5-7 years of design experience in continuous improvement, electrical maintenance and reliability engineering.
    • Experience in coordinating global projects highly preferred
    • Bachelors of Science in Electrical  Engineering from an accredited university program.
    • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Louisiana or the ability to acquire PE.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Excellent communication skills, team player, self-motivated with exceptional cost focus..
    • In depth knowledge of electrical power distribution systems from 35KV to 480V
    • Ability to help develop and improve skill set of electrical craftsmen.
    • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems and tackle issues head on.
