Our client is privately held owning a diversified portfolio of business units that manufacture, operate, and market/distribute specialty products to domestic and international customers. This industrial manufacturing company has process operations, construction, trucking, marine/barge, rail, terminal, and related operations. Our client is motivated to secure a Director of Insurance resulting from business growth and increased customer demand.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead world-wide risk management processes across multiple business units to evaluate, select, negotiate, secure & oversee programs & policies
• Execute annual premium placement exceeding $25 million across all entities
• Act as internal champion for all insurance programs to execute budget, reporting, contract negotiations, mitigate exposure, site visits, audits
• Lead, direct & manage brokerage partnerships to produce win-win
• Communicate, inform, educate senior leadership with transparency regarding operational risk, impairment exposure including monthly reporting
• Balance day-to-day site technical & operational requirements with company-wide commercial initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in finance, risk management, business w/ MBA viewed as plus
• 8+ years in commercial risk management & P&C insurance
• Innovative & strategic thinker to optimize programs & initiatives across multiple business units
• Proven leader with excellent team skills, interpersonal attributes to fit within company culture
• ARM,CRM, CPCI, CIC designation preferred
