Our client [Chemical Manufacturer] has an immediate need for an experienced Production Manager for their Geismar LA production facility. In this position you will provide leadership to the Production/Operations group and will assure the safe, cost effective and environmentally sound production of Hot-Melt Monomers that meet or exceed customer quality expectations. You will manage the operation of the production area to support and encourage a team workforce. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager and will have 6 direct reports.  In this role you will be responsible for day-to-day operating performance is responsible for satisfactorily achieving all production performance metrics, including safety, environmental, quality, and productivity.

The ideal candidate's qualifications include:

• Bachelor of Science Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10 + yrs experience in chemical plant manufacturing environment
• At least 5 years of previous managerial or leadership responsibilities are required.
• Requires knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), ISO, environmental compliance standards, engineering and projects standards, budget preparation and cost control, and organizational effectiveness.
• Ability to identify critical issues and formulate action plans with all levels of Management, including Corporate
