    Our client is an innovative privately held entity w/diversified portfolio of business units that manufacture, operate, and market/distribute specialty products to domestic & international customers. This well-established manufacturing company has process operations, construction, trucking, marine/barge, rail, terminal, and related operations. They are motivated to secure an experienced Health, Safety & Security leader for their team. This is a supervisor role required to work on-site & manage a small team. Need to hire is immediate w/ aggressive compensation & employee benefits included.

    • B.A. or B.S. degree preferred 
    • 5 years operations experience in refining or chemical processing facility desired
    • 5 years industrial safety related role
    • CSP designation desired
    • Knowledge of US Coast Guard, DOT, EPA and OSHA Regulations
    • Self-directed, proven leader, exceptional communicator & close attention to detail

    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with corporate HSE department to create and maintain shared vision/values, and an environment where employees are invested in achieving departmental and corporate goals
    • Promote advancement of occupational safety performance beyond compliance to the regulatory requirements
    • Oversee facility security activities to ensure compliance with corporate, USCG, and DOT requirements
    • Oversee occupational health activities to ensure medical support for employees in accordance with OSHA regulations & align with corporate policies
    • Conduct internal reviews/audits to ensure conformance to applicable standards and internal HS&S requirements
    • Assist in developing and analyzing various occupational safety metrics to focus on continuous improvement of the site safety management systems
    • Coordinate with various departments to determine training needs, evaluate employee performance, and develop training programs to improve employee knowledge, skills, and performance, specifically in the areas of health, safety, and security.
