    ENGINEERING MANAGER-EQUIPMENT (3561)

    A coastal Georgia polymer manufacturer has a need for an "Engineering Manager-Equipment". This position manages and directs the customer polymer make-down equipment proposal, design, customer interface, execution, and communication of the project progression. Develop and manage an engineering group and processes capable of meeting overall company objectives.  The position reports directly to the Vice President of Customer Equipment Applications. Direct Reports include: Sr. Project Engineers, Project Engineers, and a Project Coordinator.

    Your Role With The Company:

    • Provide engineering expertise in the areas of project management, engineering workflows, process, and mechanical design, working with EPCs, budget development, work specification development, procurement, and regulatory compliance.
    • Direct and manage the generation of proposals, design, interface with third-party engineering firms, fabrication management, project management, field survey, field start-up assistance, and troubleshooting.
    • Possess the ability to effectively interface with facilities, civil, electrical, chemical, and mechanical engineering personnel as well as with customers and customer engineering firms.
    • Manage the preparation of supportive documentation and vendor documentation requirements including but not limited to operation and maintenance manuals, instrument indexes, controls narratives, maintenance procedures, start-up procedures, system specifications, design criteria, datasheets, and scope of work.
    • Understand the safe handling, health and safety policies, and regulatory documents for products in our markets. 
    • Understand the company product range, the global interfacing of company products, applications, and functions including patents, R&D, technical, logistics, sales, production, and planning.

    Background Profile:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
    • A minimum of 10 years of project engineering/project management experience is required. The oil and gas industry experience is preferred.
    • A minimum of 3 years of engineering supervisory experience is required.
    • Knowledge of industry codes, regulations, product safety standards, and a diverse array of industry-specific processes to customize make-down equipment.
    • Possess the ability to direct and manage multiple projects through direct reports from conception to successful on-time completion and within budget is critical.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills are mandatory for this position and the candidate must be able to justify and present ideas to customers.
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to travel 20% of the time.
