Role With The Company:
Reporting directly to Engineering Manager.
Design ship/vessel interiors
Use AutoCAD 2015 or newer and Ship Constructor as baseline for 2D ship drawings/plans
Design interior of ships
Design CAD 3D models using Rhino, Navisworks or other 3D Modeling software
Work with Naval Architects/Marine Engineers/Engr. Manager and Project Managers to review/change/correct models & drawings
Review completed construction drawings for accuracy, consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements (SOLAS, ABS, DNV and USGC).
Check and redline drawings created by others to ensure quality of deliverables.
Community Information:
Available office locations in either MS Gulf coast or South Louisiana.
Background Profile:
8-10+ years of CAD multi-system (structural, electrical, marine living quarters) ship vessel design or commercial construction.
Experience in above deck equipment outfitting including joiner, insulation, flooring, layouts, and / or equipment/seating foundations
AutoCAD 2015 or later exp. required, Ship Constructor exp. highly desired as well as NAVIS and or RHINO 3D
Familiarity w/ marine class regulations, ie. USCG, SOLAS, ABS, DNV is preferred.
Local to South Louisiana or South Mississippi or highly exp. person w/ties to these areas
