Job Description
OneSparQ is looking for an IT Security Analyst for a national mortgage client.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 2+ years experience in security operations in a large corporate environment
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering or computer science from an accredited college or university
- Must have adequate technical skills in security software, appliances, operating system software, and networking
- Ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple tasks
- Ability to deal collaboratively, diplomatically, and successfully with customers, co-workers and other professional colleagues, managers, and staff
- Ability to quickly learn new procedures, techniques, approaches, etc
- Gain an understanding of all aspects of Information Technology and its impact on the security of network environments
- Must have a high degree of "customer orientation" and "team focus"
- Must have effective communications skills and be capable of effective presentations
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Relevant certifications (Examples: Security+, CYSA+, CCNA Security)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Network Engineering Team with maintaining a secure and efficient corporate network at the direction of the IT Security Manager or IT Security Engineer
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation, manuals, and security logs
- Perform regular email phishing campaigns to identify weaknesses and assist with employee training opportunities.
- Act as a point of escalation for security issues encountered by IT Support and Engineering teams, escalating to the IT Security Engineer if assistance is required.
- Act as a point of contact for any physical security issues encountered by others in the corporate building reporting all contact to the IT Security Manager
- Assist the IT Security Engineer in Performing infrastructure and web application vulnerability assessments
- Assist in handling all security incidents
- Following direction from the IT Security Manager and IT Security Engineer, advises departments and branch operations on policies, regulatory compliance and security best practices, providing training as required
- Trains and learns to become a subject matter expert for security best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Assists the IT Security Manager and Engineer to conduct customer interviews, produce risk assessment documentation and action plan follow-up correspondence
- Provides support and assistance during internal and external audits.
- Assists Corporate Security and the IT Security Engineer in investigating the misuse of computer resources by providing reports, logs and other information
- Assist with the development of network security standards
- Ability to author technical documentation.
- Able to be on call one week a month as a member of the Security Team
