    What's the position?

    SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER.

    You'll be among the first engineers in the company, working closely with a passionate team of scientists, software engineers, and designers to develop high quality software that will be used to make measurable improvements to people's lives. You'll be responsible for ensuring comprehensive test coverage by developing a test plan and using all software engineering tools at your disposal to automate software testing of our products.

    So who are you?

    You're passionate about making a positive impact on global health. You have experience working closely with product managers and engineers to develop high quality test plans. You love poking around products, breaking things, and finding as many bugs as you can. You write thorough, detailed descriptions of the issues that you find. You're comfortable writing software to automate as much of the testing process as possible.

    At a minimum, you meet the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
    • Demonstrable experience in developing high quality test plans
    • Demonstrable experience in writing automated unit and UI tests
    • Familiarity with two or more of the following programming languages: Java, Kotlin, Objective C/C++, Swift, Javascript, Python
    • Familiarity with the following tools and technologies: git, Android Studio, XCode, Visual Studio Code, continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD)
    • Ability to become familiar with new projects quickly

    In addition, the following is a big plus:

    • Demonstrable experience in shipping quality mobile or web applications
    • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience working with remote teams
    • Experience working in an early-stage startup or equivalent environment
    • Portfolio or GitHub account of past projects, including personal hobbies

    WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES?

    If you're chosen to join our team, you'll have the opportunity to build exciting new products from the ground up in a well-supported company. You'll drive impactful, day-to-day engineering decisions. You'll work closely with software engineers to develop and test new features, catch and fix bugs, and make continuous performance improvements to our codebases.
