ROLE SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a self-starting and creative Social Media Specialist to help the marketing team create, post, and track content. The Social Media Specialist will be tasked with writing effective post copy, taking photos and simple videos, and tracking metrics to provide data-driven results. The Social Media Specialist will use social listening tools to monitor brand mentions. This involves engaging with users proactively and responding to questions and comments directed at the brand.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Pay: Based on Experience (TBD)

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong writing ability
• Proven success managing a social media account for a business
• Proficiency with popular social networks such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
• Familiarity with social media ad platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook Ads Manager, Pinterest Ads Manager, and TikTok Ads Manager
• Ability to capture the voice of a brand and communicate it through copy
• Some experience taking photos and video for social media
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• 2-3 years relevant experience in social media and/or digital marketing

DESIRED TRAITS

• Experience using social media management tools such as Sprout Social, HubSpot, Hootsuite, or Buffer
• Experience working with content creators on sponsored campaigns
• Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite / Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• An enthusiasm for building a community of engaged users
• The ability to clearly conceptualize, demonstrate, and execute ideas
• A passion for staying on top of the latest trends in social media and digital marketing
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision, but can excel in team environments
• Collaborative, opinionated, and a team player
