Brainfuse is hiring Online Nursing Tutors to support BSN and MSN-level nursing students and NCLEX candidates in a fully remote, flexible tutoring environment. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy teaching, mentoring, and academic support without clinical responsibilities.

Tutors support students through on-demand tutoring, prearranged one-to-one sessions, scheduled tutoring shifts with paid standby time, group workshops, and nursing-specific writing reviews , all within a fully online environment.

How Tutoring Works at Brainfuse

1. On-Demand Tutoring & Scheduled Shifts

• Peak student demand: Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 PM–12:00 AM Eastern Time
• Tutors may log in at any time for on-demand support
• Optional scheduled tutoring shifts place tutors on standby for live requests
• During downtime, scheduled tutors are expected to check for available nursing paper reviews to complete

2. Pre-Arranged 1:1 Sessions

• Tutors can post availability (similar to virtual office hours)

• Students may book tutors directly for scheduled sessions

3. Workshops & Group Sessions

• Tutors may host live workshops for groups of students. Workshops are offered frequently, with sessions scheduled throughout the week and at various times of day, including afternoons and evenings.

• Common topics include: Dosage Calculation, APA Formatting, Critical Thinking, Study Strategies and Exam Prep

• Additional workshop topics are added regularly

4. Writing Lab: Nursing

• Review nursing papers for content accuracy, clarity, and organization
• Provide guidance on APA formatting and academic writing
• Emphasis on feedback and improvement, not editing or rewriting

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver real-time, interactive online tutoring sessions aligned with nursing curricula from pre-nursing through MSN

• Guide students through complex nursing concepts using clear, student-centered explanations

• Assist students with asynchronous nursing paper reviews by providing detailed feedback on content accuracy and minor writing and grammar improvements

• Adapt tutoring approaches to individual learning needs and academic goals

• Use Brainfuse's virtual whiteboard and tools (text, audio, video) to create engaging tutoring sessions

• Maintain professional and ethical boundaries consistent with academic support best practices

Required Qualifications

• **Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

• **Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred

• Background in nursing education, tutoring, or academic support

• Strong knowledge of undergraduate or graduate-level nursing coursework

• Comfort reviewing nursing-related written assignments and supporting multiple nursing subjects

• Familiarity with APA style

• Reliable computer, high-speed internet connection, microphone, and webcam

Licensure
