Onsite IT Deskside Customer Engineer
We are seeking an experienced IT Deskside/Customer Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to support end users at all levels. In this role, you will provide comprehensive technical support for a variety of hardware and software issues, working closely with other IT professionals to ensure smooth operations.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in delivering these services in a large corporate environment and a track record of providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- End User Device Management: Install, repair, set up, configure, and upgrade end-user devices such as laptops, desktops, printers, and monitors.
- Office Moves/Setup: Assist with office relocations, including setup of IT equipment and minimal data migration.
- Customer Support: Provide exceptional support to end users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, including Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365.
- Ticket Handling: Manage and resolve support requests through the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
- Hardware Preparation: Prepare, stage, and deploy new hardware such as laptops and desktops using tools like SCCM.
- Collaboration: Work closely with expert IT teams for quick analysis and incident management.
- In-House Applications Support: Troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to in-house applications.
- Meeting and AV Support: Provide basic support for meetings, including Teams and AV setups.
- Physical Installations: Install and configure IT equipment such as cabling, docking stations, printers, and monitors.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in providing technical support for hardware and software issues.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft O365, and SCCM for device staging.
- Expertise in troubleshooting laptops, desktops, printers, and related peripherals.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems and managing service requests.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels.
- Basic knowledge of AV support and meeting setup (Microsoft Teams preferred).
- Hands-on experience with physical installations of IT equipment, including cabling and peripheral setup.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in an IT support or customer engineer role.
- Familiarity with office move setups and minimal data migration.
- Ability to collaborate with expert teams for efficient issue resolution.

Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am-5:00 pm; 40 hours per week Mon - Fri; overtime where required
