Resource and Education Services Supervisor

The Resource and Education Services Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the information and referral processes of Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R), including direct oversight and supervision of Resource and Education staff, Resource and Education center activities and off-site services for families and employers to increase awareness of the importance of the First 2000 Days, quality early care and education environments, and resources in the community. The position is also responsible for supporting services to military families, planning events to support increased public awareness of strategies related to injury prevention for children within the community in support of the work of the Safe Kids Onslow Coalition. This position is also responsible for developing and implementing community outreach strategies and public awareness campaigns.
The Resource and Education Services Supervisor must have the ability to: act as a liaison between the Partnership, CCR&R, and the early care and education community as well as local, state, and national professional organizations, carry forward the OCPC/CCR&R mission and vision to the community via public awareness/education campaign and distribution of printed information developed by CCR&R and the Partnership; and stay abreast of continual changes in the NC rules and regulations to support increased awareness of the quality indicators for families who are searching for or have questions related to child care services. The position will support the coordination and implementation of injury prevention educational events/presentations and short and long term goal planning for the program and ensuring adherence of all internal and external contractual requirements. Program planning needs are identified through use of data generated from statistical reports and information received from the community understanding that this data will be compiled and utilized to anticipate future needs of the program and to ensure needs are identified and consistently met. This position is responsible for grant writing, grant submission and management; managing and maintaining multiple databases, collection and analysis of data, completion and submission of program related quarterly reports and development and maintenance of marketing activities such as social media posting, public service announcements, public awareness presentations and age appropriate educational activities. The Resource and Education Services Supervisor should have the ability to work independently, develop systems for success and have strong facilitation skills.
The Resource and Education Services Supervisor candidate should have knowledge of early childhood development, environmental health, marketing, non-profit program management and/or business administration. The position has a minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree in an Early Childhood Education or human services related field, with a minimum of three to five years related experience. Proficiency in budgeting, public relations, community outreach, development, facilitation and utilization of community resources is helpful.
