Our clients are industry-movers and innovators who produce all the actual things you see on Target, Costco, and thousands of other store shelves.
Your mission is to help them overcome all sorts of obstacles in the manufacturing and logistics pathways. You will use our proprietary process, step-by-step to empower our clients to make decisions, providing them with transparency, while partnering with our amazing in-house China-based manufacturing teams to deliver on-time, on-budget results in a crazy, fast-paced world. Going into our 4th year of business, We've DOUBLED IN SIZE AND IMPACT EVERY YEAR! --We are looking for a Production Project Manager that’s wanting to learn and grow quickly.
We work with emerging brands and companies across multiple countries. We directly impact our clients’ business through developing innovative products and efficient supply chains. You will be working with teams that cover multiple skill sets and global areas. There is no stagnation, and you will become an expert quickly. We have a nimble and caring team that works to always support each other and our clients.
YOUR TYPICAL DAY: You check email/Chat and find a few potential issues/threats with your 6-12 production product projects. You reach out to your amazing teammates to get clarifying information and generate ideas for solutions to these issues. You QUICKLY COMMUNICATE OPTIONS, DOCUMENT THE DECISIONS and information with our clients & execute the agreed next steps. You finalize your updates in the system so everyone can see how your projects are doing. After that, you grab one of the scooters at the office and zip it into a leadership meeting to learn about a potential new client and review progress on your projects.
NEXT, YOU OPEN A PACKAGE FROM CHINA AND CHECK OUT YOUR NEW PRODUCT WITH YOUR PROJECT ENGINEER--IT'S PERFECT! You and grab a drink on the couch in our COLLABORATION HUB WHILE CHATTING WITH THE PRODUCT DESIGNERS about some new changes needed by one of your clients due to manufacturing limitations. Schedule some follow-up calls for the evening with the China-Based Project Managers to MAKE ADJUSTMENTS AT THE FACTORY & schedule THE FIRST GOLDEN SAMPLE TO BE SENT TO YOUR CUSTOMER. You document the new determinations and send some follow-up chats with customers, letting them know what to expect in the next few days. One of your new products is almost ready for mass production so you need to SCHEDULE A CALL WITH THE CEO to find out customer feedback needed to test about his product. You BRING YOUR OWN IDEAS TO THE TABLE and work with the Quality team to ENSURE WE HAVE RIGOROUS TESTING for the next production run.
You stick your head in to chat with the Sales team about an upcoming possible new product you heard mentioned by your client & pat yourself on the back—you are bringing dreams to life!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage Client relationships, success, and loyalty.
· Conducting Project planning, analysis, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities.
· Developing Project schedules and budgets; communicating Project plans, issues, risks, and status to the Project teams; assisting in directing the team through stages of the Projects.
· Work with the Purchasing Departments and Product Managers to track the financial performance of each project, product cost over time, and production orders
· Foster collaboration between Purchasing and Clients while also assuring the collection of invoices and payments.
· Oversee strategic priority and execution of Financial Focused projects while assuring no miss-communication is festering and causing problems.
· Training and implementation of New Processes to improve the accuracy and speed of tasks and reporting.
· Track, Facilitate & Schedule meetings with clients and international teams to accelerate execution and create clarity.
· Assure the international teams understand all tasks, product functions, and client strategic needs.
· Work with COO to build out new processes and business metrics as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
· Ability to connect with people and read social queues to resolve problems
· Strong communication, presentation, and management skills
· Strong desire and ability to create collaborative engagements and foster partnerships
· Ability to prioritize projects and tasks that create the greatest impact
· 1yr+ in a Project management role
