  • Responsibilities

    JOB DUTIES

    • Contribute to System architecture, design, and development of Antenna Measurements Systems and RCS Measurement Systems.
    • Assist in presales discussions with Customers and assist in developing proposals
    • Work within a multi-discipline environment and provide a essential role in full system lifecycle including: pre-sales discussions, TIMS, SRR, PDR, CDR, I&T, Site installation, ATP, & training
    • Translate customer needs into System Requirements
    • Contribute in developing BOE's to support sales team in pricing design solutions
    • Contribute in allocating system requirements to subsystems, manage requirement through the project duration
    • Participate in internal peer reviews to ensure design solutions meet system requirements
    • Assist Program Manager with the coordination between multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical engineering, software engineering, sales, operations, purchasing, and field service.
    • Write factory and on-site acceptance test procedures, perform or oversee and validate acceptance testing
    • Contribute in the design and development of custom or standard product subassemblies related to Microwave and Millimeter wave instrumentation systems.
    • Prepare and present internal technical reports to include: trade study results, analysis results, and test results
    • Contribute to preparation  of technical papers for international symposiums
    • Some interaction with customers and limited presentation of technical information throughout the project lifecycle to include: pre-sales discussions, TIMS, SRR, PDR, CDR, I&T, Site installation, ATP, & training.
    • Produce drawings, vendor specification, manuals, and training material
    • Assist more senior engineers
    • Work with moderate supervision, takes direction from department manager and/or Sr. Engineers

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Meet deadlines
    • Estimating tasks
    • Assist in identifying risks and challenges early and working with Program Manager to manage the same
    • Give clear directions to technicians, drafting, and technical associates

    REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

    • BS in Electrical Engineering (computer engineering or physic will be considered); graduate-level courses a plus

    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems

    • Ideal candidate will have hands on experience with antenna or RCS measurement

    • Limited knowledge of mechanical positioning systems and mechanical design process preferred

    • Good oral and written communication skills and ability to confidently present and discuss design solutions within the organization

    • Must have good understanding of basic concepts in Electromagnetics, graduate studies with focus in Antennas or other Electromagnetic a plus

    • 0 to 3 years of total experience in pertinent areas such as:

      • RF and Microwave design and test
      • Structured programming                                       
      • MATLAB
      • Embedded Systems
      • RF Signal processing
      • DSP
    • US Citizen or Permanent Resident

    • Travel as needed to customer site – 20%
