Job Description

The healthcare customer service representative will perform informational and service-related duties for the company at the call center. The representative will answer and greet all incoming calls from patients, providers, physician’s, insurance carriers, facilities, and other individuals inquiring about Open System Imaging with a pleasant tone of voice. Must be able to handle high volume of incoming calls and multiple phone lines, be responsive to caller’s needs, route telephone calls to appropriate parties, take and distribute messages, collect patient demographic and insurance information, schedule/reschedule/confirm appointments, remain calm under pressure and represent the company in a positive and professional manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience desired.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Patient scheduling

· Contact patients via telephone prior to their scheduled appointment to confirm appointment

· Interview patients over the telephone to obtain complete information and accurate medical history

· Enter all patient data into electronic medical record within a timely fashion from phone contact

· Resolve patient insurance questions related to medical care

· Make calls to patients to assess their service experience

· Complete all patient phone call assignments as assigned

· Answer phones in the Call Center as needed to respond to inquiries made by patients, vendors, insurance companies and other medical facilities

· Re-schedule patient appointments as required via telephone calls

· Screen and route patient calls to other departments efficiently for further assistance

· Assist other members of Call Center departments as needed.

· Other duties as assigned.
