  • Responsibilities

    As the Biosafety Specialist, you will develop biosafety related policies and procedures, perform inspections, offer remediation alternatives for improvement, and participate in hazard and control identification. You will establish and maintain positive working relationships with governmental, industrial and associated agencies and ensure all related regulations are met. You will participate and lead the design, development and implementation of training to support biosafety. A Registered Biosafety Professional (BSP) designation or a Certified Biological Safety Professional designation is preferred or the ability to obtain it within a year. You have in-depth knowledge of biosafety guidelines and legislative requirements. You have a proven track record of functioning as a biosafety officer. Your qualifications include a master''s degree in biological sciences such as microbiology, bacteriology, toxicology or related discipline, with two to four years of biosafety experience, including working knowledge of regulatory requirements for handling biologicals.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Corporate Strategy at RRD is a high performing team, primarily responsible for working with senior leadership to set the corporation’s strategic direction and execute transformational growth strategies. The scope of work includes segment/ business unit growth strategies, portfolio strategies, M&A strategies and other high impact strategic initiatives.

    • Work collaboratively with functional and business leaders to support a range of strategic initiatives in order to execute our growth strategy. Initiatives span a variety of areas, including portfolio optimization strategy, segment/ business unit growth strategy, long term strategic planning, business restructuring, cost transformation and M&A strategy and acquisition pipeline
    • Partner with segment President and business unit leaders in strategic planning efforts, support preparation for strategy review meetings and other segment/ BU growth strategy planning and execution activities
    • Provide guidance to the business teams on certain strategic initiatives and take the lead in others. Scope, plan and structure the work and gain alignment with the business leaders on timeline and implications
    • Lead assessment of new product categories/ attractive adjacent spaces; understand the dynamics of these markets, analyze existing players, and assess alternative market entry strategies
    • Support development and management of acquisition focused business development pipeline. Partner with segment leaders to identify and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities. Conduct primary and secondary research on target companies and their markets, channels and competitors; analyze the target company’s value proposition, competitive position and financial performance to assess opportunities to create value post-acquisition. Develop business cases that include go-to-market strategies and revenue and cost synergies
    • Support team efforts to monitor industry trends, channel evolution and key competitors’ strategies and tactics; identify and evaluate issues that could potentially impact segment or business unit competitive position and financial performance
    • Support and lead special projects as assigned which may include pricing strategy, go-to-market strategy development, etc.
