    [Banner]The Saskatchewan Research Council has been proactive in addressing the needs of Aboriginal communities and has been active in developing relationships with Aboriginal organizations, institutions and people. The Environment and Forestry Division at SRC is seeking a full-time Aboriginal Community Liaison to continue to build these relationships and networks. You will be responsible for liaising between our scientists, engineers and managers and Aboriginal communities. You will assist SRC in continuing to provide smart science solutions to communities in the area of Environment and Forestry and other program areas of the Saskatchewan Research Council, as required. Travel within Saskatchewan will be required. Your primary focus will be working with Aboriginal communities to ensure the successful delivery of Project CLEANS - the cleanup of 38 abandoned sites in the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan. You will be involved in business development and Aboriginal community engagement related to additional environmental remediation projects, as required. Your strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills position you well to deliver quality work in a team environment. You have a broad based knowledge of Aboriginal organizations, institutions, political and social issues, particularly in northern Saskatchewan communities. You have the ability to build links between science, traditional knowledge and program delivery. As the ideal candidate, you have a degree in Science, Commerce, or Business Administration, or an equivalent amount of experience, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with Saskatchewan Aboriginal communities.

    Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school (Bachelor’s Degree preferred); 2+ years related experience and/or training in Inventory Control; or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in Microsoft Office is required; ability to take responsibility and ownership for tasks and to use initiative; strong interpersonal skills and proven abilities with regard to accuracy and attention to detail.
