We are currently seeking a highly dependable, detail-oriented Operating Room (OR) Environmental Services Technician to join our healthcare cleaning team in Royersford, PA. This is an essential position responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, infection prevention, and patient safety in a surgical environment.

What You'll Do
Perform daily and terminal cleaning of Operating Rooms and surgical suites.
Clean and disinfect surgical equipment and high-touch surfaces according to established healthcare protocols.
Follow all infection prevention, environmental services, and housekeeping standards.
Properly handle, bag, and dispose of infectious and hazardous waste materials.
Follow all procedures related to Category I exposure tasks and blood-borne pathogens.
Maintain and organize OR housekeeping closets and cleaning supply storage areas.
Ensure all assigned areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and regulatory compliance.
Work collaboratively with clinical staff and other team members to support a safe patient care environment.
Qualifications
Previous hospital, surgery center, or healthcare environmental services experience is strongly preferred.
Experience cleaning Operating Rooms (OR) is a major plus.
Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to follow strict cleaning protocols.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 55 pounds.
Must be physically capable of performing repetitive cleaning tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Requirements
Valid driver's license required.
Reliable transportation required (not all locations are accessible by public transportation).
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Occupational Exposure
This position may involve:
Exposure to blood-borne pathogens (Category I)
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials
Potential exposure to radiation-related environments within healthcare facilities
